Bailey Portable on board water tank.

I have just ordered a Bailey Unicorn Barcelona, which has a 23 Litre on board water tank with wheels. Can this tank be filled from the Aquaroll or does it have to be taken to the service point with the Aquaroll? I believe the Bailey Pegasus has the same system.

As it stands just now it needs to be removed from the caravan and filled at the water point before being replaced in the caravan.
According to a post in the Bailey section of caravan talk forum, Whale are currently looking at a modification to this system that will perhaps enable the onboard tank to be filled from the aquaroll. This could be retro fitted by the dealership as a cost option.

Thanks Robert, on the Whale Pumps web site I have seen schematic drawings where a valved return to the on-board tank appears. I think as you stated this is not the case in the Barcelona. Maybe this extra valve is used on vans/motor homes with a fixed on board tank. The tank is 23 litres so would not be too much of a problem for me to lift it in, though it may be for others.

My Olympus has one also. Its a good idea and a well made item but one flaw. The connection tube is not long enough to enable the tank to be lifted out on to the ground so that the cap can be unscrewed. You either have to stretch in through the exterior door which is very awkward or remove the corner cushions and base inside.A longer hose would sort this out.
Another example of manufacturers never trying things out in the real world.
