has anyone purchased one of these and, if so, what are its pros and cons?

We have a 460/2 but thought it might be nice to have a fixed berth model.

Hi Catherine

We saw the review of this van in PC September issue and tried to see one. We had some difficulty but eventually saw and bought one last Saturday. I got a lot of helpful information from this forum. My original post was in mid August under "Can't buy the van we want" if you want to see what others wrote.

I must admit that at the end of a long day skiing (we use our van overwinter at Braemar) the idea of not having to make up a bed is very appealling.

Catherine we swapped from an 05 460/2 to an 07 460/4.

The van itself is great but as explained on the 'fixed-bed' topic and the other 'got the van we wanted' topic we have not got on so well with the short front dinette.

To that end we have on order a 2008 Bailey Pageant Majestic, which has no fixed bed but long front seats. No end washroom either this time, but an end kitchen with acres of storage, oh and the biggest wardrobe ever in a 13 and a half foot van!

The Ranger has been fault free and I would imagine you will love it!

You could't have many long days sking last winter as there was hardly any snow.

Yes John, you're right but we made the most of what there was. You have to be an optimist to ski in Scotland.April
