Bailey Ranger 500/5 fitting power socket in rear

Hi Guys
I have the above and would like to fit a rear mains socket, to power tv when using dinnete as a bedroom
the only power I can see in there is mains switch for Truma mains water heater and its thermostat
do i have to go under bathroom floor and back to mains Power distribution unit to pick up a feed or is
there a easier way ??

Disconnect it when you've finished using it!

New sockets are easy enough to fit. However, I would expect your mains sockets to be on a different circuit breaker from the Mains water heater, so don't use that. If you turn off the MCB for the sockets, then they should all be dead, otherwise a fitter might be if one is still unexpectedly live,

Just run a 3 core cable of exactly the same type as used by the manufacturer, from the nearest available socket, provided that this has not been done previously i.e. there are no more than 2 sets of 3 wires there at the moment.

There is not usually what you might call an easy fix - its a matter of running the cable neatly round at the back of bunks and cupboards, clipping as necessary for safety.

Next time im at van doing some more work, I will see which is the nearest
socket to where i want to put new, and follow your advice, I would not want

Hi Guys
Mains now in rear dinette, i went into wardrobe and found the rear connection of 240v mains
supply next to 12v socket for tv power, ensuring when mains power switch is off all sockets are dead, then looked beneath of van floor for existing wiring and gas lines chassis etc ...
Then drilled hole through floor for cable, then same proceedure in rear dinette, then
p clipped all cable length under van floor as not to snag or catch on anything whilst towing...job done, time now for several tins of the Amber Nectar, or Fosters..lol
