Hi folks can anyone help please. is it possible to replace the material only i.e. the thermal blinds into the cassettes myself. I have been advised by the bailey dealer over here (NI) that i have to have them fitted by them complete. at a cost of approx £300. A bit expensive. Our dog chewed them through after being left in van on his own. (for a very short time) before all you owners complain of leaving the dog. We are planning sometime over to the lake district and blackpool next week. so i would be grateful for any advice anyone could pass on.

Hi William - Dismantling the blind cassettes is not that difficult and provided that you can get the material(?) and have a sewing machine I'm sure that you could save yourself a lot of money. Net should not be a problem from a curtain shop and local to me their are several small companies who make up domestic blinds to order and no doubt would have blackout material which they would sell.

hi william

yes it is possible to replace the blinds yourself but wachout for the springs and make sure they go back in the exact same place if you have a motorhome convertion manufacturer near you they will probably sell you some off the roll it is a bit expensive about a tenner a metre but much cheaper than new blinds

What you do with your dog regarding the above william is of no concern to anyone else. As long as the dog didn't bark and make a nuisance it had more room than being shut up in a pen or kennel.
