Arriving on site Ferry meadows for 1st trip out to check everything is okay.
Filled up Aqa roll connected to van switched on internal pump , ,went outside to discover water was being discharged under the van (where the normal discharge water drains away) as fast as the pump was trying to fill the tank.
Switched off the pump rechecked that the yellow drain valve was closed in the horizontal position it was.
I mobiles a local fitter who has repaired various items in the past for me, He had me checking the yellow drain valve on/off still the water was venting below, then he suggested it could be the overflow, now in all the years that I have been caravanning I have never heard this word mentioned, Getting onto my back with mobile in hand I looked under the van and sure enough it was not venting through the plastic drain tube but from another hidden access, confirming that it was the overflow.
Turned the pump off ,The fitter arrived on site lifted up the seat cushion above the hot water tank and unscrewed the red connection to the hot water cylinder , disconnected connections blew through the connector, apparently it houses a spring ball bearing that had somehow got stuck, replaced the connection and thank goodness, when switching on the pump everything was working okay.
Money changed hands and I now know what to do if the overflow gets stuck again.
What is annoying that I did a full fill up check at home a week before and everything worked okay.
