Hi. We are new to the Forum and new to caravanning.

We are looking to buy a 2nd hand Bailey Senator Wyoming (Series 5)registered in 2005 but a 2006 Model. This would be a private purchase. The van is immaculate. It has basic accessories ie. battery, gas bottles, water bottles but unlike some 2nd hand vans does not come with motor mover or awning. It has never been towed as for the majority of its life has been permanently based on a site and stored over winter. If we bought it, we would be the third owners. Bearing this in mind, with an asking price of £11,000, is this a fair price? We are sensitive to offering a fair price as this is not a pure business deal because the people we would be buying from are friends of ours.

Also, if we joined the Caravan Club (and we are thinking of doing this anyway) has anyone looked at their 'Glass's Guide'. Can anyone comment on the accuracy of the Guide's evaluation for 2nd hand vans?

I purchased an S5 Wyoming (reg 05 - 06 model) in April this year from a dealer (one owner from purchased from same dealer), I got them to give me a gas bottle and connector, aqua roll, waste master, new leisure battery, alko lock, wheelclamp and full awning all for the grand price of 11k

(the van was on the forecourt for 12995 on its own :)

Your price is ok ....but if the van was registered before Sept 05, it WONT have the transferable 6 year warranty, this may be a small bargaining point ?

Cheers

hi i dont know about prices but make sure its had a yearly service with an approved dealer because if not the warrenty would be void.

if they say yes and show you i would still take the vin number and check with bailey.

also make sure there no outstanding finance on this van by doing your own checks.

hope this helps
