Bailey unicorn Madrid

Hi all,
The shower mixer tap has started to leak between the joint in the main body of the tap any help to repair or replace would be very helpful thanks

Rod
Assuming you have a non micro switch tap.
Remove the hot cold indicator on the tap. Insert an Allen key and loosen the grub screw. Lift off the tap handle.
unscrew the top section of the body and remove.
You will now see a large nut. Undo and remove the inner cartridge body. You may be lucky and with care you can thoroughly clean the tap base and also the bottom of the cartridge.
By careful not to damage the cartridge built in o rings.
Reassemble and test. If no good you may get away with a new cartridge about £10.
Otherwise as in my case a new tap will be required circa £30.
Good luck

Thanks for your reply dustydog I will have a look tomorrow, I was o/k working on my old Swift but have learnt after marking mistakes in the past to ask for advice if not sure how something comes apart before launching in, the problem with this mixer was that I could not see how to take it apart B)

Rod, it's nice to see someone being sensible, about asking a question first instead of bulldozing straight in, ( as I Probabley Would have done ). Well done.
