Bailey water penetration on front panels

has any one had warranty work done on cracking bailey front panels.what for & what did they do? reason being mine cracked around the fixing screws causing water penetration & it's being repaired but not renewed

Hi

I know of at least three people with Bailey vans who have had this problem. The cracks can not be repaired and in each case a new front was fitted under waranty. I suggest you insist on a new front panel.

We had the front panel replaced on our Bailey Ranger 2 years ago. It was 1 year old at the time - the crack was found by the dealer at its first service.

Other threads on this forum seem to suggest that it was a faulty batch of panels used at the time and that the problem has now been sorted.

I would definately insist on a replacement rather than a repair. Bailey were very good in sorting the problem out in our case - the van was returned to the factory to have the work done and back with us in a couple of weeks.

Is the dealer insisting on the repair? If so I would contact Bailey direct.

Regards, Martin.
