We last stopped at San Francesco in 2008. It is a very good site and the pitches are good but some are very difficult to get too. As we were paying by Camping Cheques you are limited to where you can go. Having an 8 metre van those pitches are too small for us, so we elected to pay a couple of Euro's more and go up to the next bracket. If you look on my website you will see the photo's taken on site that year. We had a wonderful view but to get to the pitch was a nightmare. There is a white tubular fence all along the front of the area with a gate way as soon as you get to the area just over a small bridge. It was impossible for us to negotiate this gateway being too narrow and the road too narrow due to the bridge construction. So in the end we had to go right along the front , turn up the first road and then right onto the area. Then we had to travel right from left to right and back to front over loads of pitches to get to the front row. This route was explained to us by a Dutch couple parked in the same area.for which we were most grateful. We could not fault the site Toilets, Showers, Laundry and Restaurant excellent. Staff at the Reception most helpful. Would think it would be more difficult to pitch, with a large outfit, in the high season, The first time we visited this site in 2004 we had Amara 520 and they then took ACSI Camping Card you were limited to pitches with that but still had a good one but not on the front.
Hope this helps. ..
