Bath Chew Valley

Anyone used this CC AS recently? I understand they unhook your van & position it on your pitch, cars not allowed in the camping area & you park in a car park at reception apparently. We have a brochure from them & wonder - Is it as nice as their literature makes out? - been caught before!

Any views would be appreciated please.

We stayed at Bath Chew Valley in '99 - it's an excellent site. We were allowed to take the car to the road by the pitch to unload/load at beginning and end of stay - it's not a problem the rest of the time as it's a small site so not far from reception to the pitches. There's a seperate area for motorhomes. Being Adult Only makes it a very relaxing site.

The Pony & Trap in a nearby village, I forget which, does excellent food but is very popular with locals eating there - a good sign.

We were there last year & would say it was one of the best sites we have been on.

My wife is disabled & we were allocated one of the hardstandings closest to the car park.

The staff at this site could not have been nicer & yes they push your car onto the pitch as well as levelling it for you.

The car park is situated close to the pitches & if you have been shopping etc you are allowed to unload at your pitch.

We would use this site again if we were ever in the area.
