I am looking to install an additional light into the bathroom, its a 12v 10w ceiling light with built in on/off switch. Can i simply take a power feed from the existing ceiling light light or do i need a power converter. My thought was to go to local diy store and get 2 core flex cable and take a feed off existing lamp. But i dont want to do sonething that would cause a fire or other damage.

Yes. You are protected against fire or otherwise overloading the wiring by a fuse. 12v 10W is less than one amp as a current, which, even if doubled for the two lamps, is well within the capability of any caravan power wiring.

Whilst I agree, and additional 10W light is unlikely to cause a wiring overload, but it would be worth going for an LED light, much lower power (W) and much longer life than a filament bulb.
