Bathroom taps

Hi, Just giving my caravan a check over before we use it for the first this year and the cold tap in the bathroom is not working? The hot tap is ok but when i turn the cold on the pump does not kick in. Any thought as what i can do to fix it?

Paul, when you run the hot tap, does the pump continue to ru for ort whle ater you turn it off, or does it stop instantly?

If it runs on,it is a pressure system and the likely cause is a stuck tap washer.

If it stops instantly it is a microswithed system and the likely cause is a faulty tap microswitch

I stripped it down today and it has a microswitch. I have touched the wires together on the cold tap side and the pump kicked in so i guess the switch in faulty. I'll have to get a new one. Thanks for all the help

Hi

Its worth modifying the wiring slightly to introduce a relay into the circuit so that the microswitch operates the relay and the relay switches the pump on, this way the tap microswitches last forever
