Battery Charger Voltage.

Hi

I have an Ace Jubilee Aristcrat with a Nordelettronica NE143-RM power unit fitted. After testing, we are pretty certain that the battery charger has failed on this unit, but could someone please confirm what voltage we should see on the voltage test screen when we switch the battery charger switch on.

Cheers

Andrew

I don't need to buy a new as it is going back under warranty to be changed, I just want to make sure I'm not going to look like a plonker when I take it back, that's why I want to check the voltage levels for the battery that we should be getting when the battery charge switch is pressed. I have been told by a couple of people that they would expect to see the voltage jump up significantly. The battery charges fine when connected to the car, but not when connected to an EHU, it was down to 7 volts on site, but had moved to 12.4v by the time we were home.

This is the information on that link:

Input: 230V ac

Output Voltage (Charger): 14.4V dc

Dimensions: 125 mm x175 mm x295 mm

Weight: 2.5 Kg

I have just checked my own charger & it is charging @ 13.85V

The voltage in mine remains constant whether connected to EHU or not, so I think I have now covered all options...'Its metabolic processes are now history! it's off the twig! its kicked the bucket, it's shuffled off its mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisibile!! THIS IS AN EX-BATTERY CHARGER!!

😱)
