Battery Charger

Hi, can anyone recommend a good battery charger for 110 leisure battery. I have a trickle charger but need to give it a good boost now coming to the winter period and also because I have a motor mover.

Thanks

Trev

Trev,

CTEK are highly regarded in independent reviews - compact, with dedicated leisure battery charging and anti-Sulfation modes.

But they aren't cheap - probably around

trev i have a 110amp battery i use it on my van all year round --best thing to do if you want to keep it alive is charge it then put a 5 watt bulb across it and leave it to go flat (might take a while)

then charge it and repeat again you will only need a cheap charger

it works for me

Hi

Sorry if this question sounds naive, but how do these trickle chargers work? Do you have to remove the battery from the van and plug it in, say in your garage, or are they for cans that can be left on ehu all year round?

I want to maintain my battery but I can't keep the van hooked up throughout the winter as it gets moved to hard storage round the side of the house which is too far away for the cable to stretch!

Look forward to your advice,
