Battery charger

I am a novice to caravanning so please bear with me if I ask a very basic question. I intend to take the lesiure battery home during the winter months and storing it in my garage while the caravan is in storage. Can I use an ordinary car battery charger to keep the leisure battery fully charged. If not, what do I need?

If by "ordinary" you mean a basic charger and one giving out about 8 Amps then yes, but take it off charge after no more than 10 hours.
