got an optimate on motorcycle and it keeps it fine would have one on van but its in storage with no power available

Hi david,many thanks for that as i have mine on the drive its no hardship to bring the battery in to my shed,steve
 
Like David I used one on a motorcycle and battery never failed to crank engine even after months of winter storage (even worked OK with alarm on also). I know leisure batteries are different but I don't foresee any problem keeping one topped up with a controlled trickle charge.
