I have asked about this before but never got a definite answer, the question is my van is kept on my drive and is always connected to the mains.Over Winter is it ok to leave it always on charge via the vans charger,or should I turn it off from time? No idea what charger is installed on the van which is a 2015 Lunar Solaris ( dealer special based on Quassar)

We have a 2014 Swift, we also park it at home, parked it up 29/10,. Need motor mover to put it away, so after parked I leave the charger on for 24 hours to ensure the battery is fully charged, then switch charger off. We are due out next Monday 28/11 so will put the charger on some 24 hours before we go, again need motor mover to get it out, so need to make sure battery charged. (Needed to go in the van this morning so checked the meter and ok.) This (without being technical) works for us and has for many years.

Similar storage situation, van on drive with hook up connected 24/7. I've never switched the charger off and think I've had to renew the battery twice, perhaps three times, in the last 28 years so I reckon it's ok.

I too have left my vans connected to EHU all the time at home - charger and fridge working - and come to no harm. (We use the fridge for extra capacity when entertaining, to avoid domestics about cooling space for liquids on hot days etc).

The charger voltage is set below the 'regenerate' level of other individual chargers and ensures that you always have a fully charged battery for movers etc. when you need one, and - in extreme weather - may prevent frost damage.
