? Battery Problem

We have now had two caravans (from new), both with battery problems! Can anyone out there help!

The latest problem is with a new battery throwing out acid onto the inner section of the battery compartment door. Can this be a problem with the caravan over charging the battery? Quite worrying me thinks (or should I say TOH thinks).

Our current caravan is a Compass Rallye 482. The previous caravan was a Swift.

Any suggestions from forum members would help.

Hi Ann, if it is a sealed battery then yes it is being overcharged. You need to check the charge voltage.

If it not a sealed battery, then same again or the battery is being filled too much, the top-up water needs to just cover the internal plates.
