Battery - Winter Storage

What is the best thing to do with the battery in the winter - our 'van is going into storage this year for the first time. Should we take the battery off and keep in the garage with an occasionaly charge, or just leave it on?

Certainly remove it from the van unless you need an alarm.

Dont put it on the garage floor. Put some good sized block under it to keep it off a cold solid floor. If you have a sophisticated charger that monitors and phase charges the battery then leave it on charge. If not then don't but be sure to initially fully charge it , and then recharge it on the first monday of each month.[or tuesday!!].
