Battery

Depends what you want to do.

Some caravanners, like me, always use site with hook-ups - for them the smallest, cheapest car battery will do.

Most, however, spend some of their time off hook-up - a leisure battery is normally chosen 85-110Ah capacity because it handles the discharge much better than car batteries.
 
Fair comments about the cheapest batterty, but what you will need to remember is that you will only hope to buy one battery which should last you a long while , so really you should buy a 110 amp battery which will give you great power with or without electric and if you decide to fit a motor mover they all run off a 110 amp battery , so to make sure you only pay once go for the 110 amp @ around

I'd have to agree with Glen.

Considering the modest extra outlay - you can rest assured that you're going to have power when you need it.

And Glen's right about the motor mover - a 'normal' battery won't cope.

My own Numax 110amp leisure battery died last week after 7 well used years. Numax have brought out a new 113amp sealed leisure battery designed for amongst other things caravans with motor movers. It retails at my dealers for
