Sorry - motorhome question but hope someonme will be able to help! The battery in my motorhome discharges oevr a period of about 4 weeks. Should it do so (there's nothing on that I can see) and if so should I keep re-charging it or just wait until I next use the motorhome at Easter?

Have you got an alarm, a radio with a memeory function, what about a status TV antenna (the power unit takes abit of power if left switched on) How old is the battery it might just be getting past its sell by date
........is it the vehicle battery or the leisure battery for the domestic circuits?
In the past i have had the battery discharge through a faulty charger.
Also some car alarms can flatten a battery, but usually after being parked for more than 2 weeks.
Make sure you switch the 12v circuit off.
All the above assume your comment refer to the leisure battery and charger.

Many thanks - yes, it's the leisure battery that's the problem. The 12V is switched off and there's no light in the fridge and no alarm....

in my experience it seems that leisure battries do become discharged on there own if left connected without recharging dont know why? but both batteries we have had on the van inc the new 110amp one went flat after a few weeks, I now have the ehu plugged in all the time the van is stood.
all the above comments are relevent however so check it anyway you could try changing the battery clamps to the quick release type and disconnet it after charging to see if it goes flat again while disconnected.
I assume the main vehicle battery is ok (not the leisure one)if so the alarm and central locking systems of the motor home should not be affected as these will run from the main vehicle battery.
