weve probably parked caravan up for the winter now, is it advisable to disconnect the battery and put it on an optimiser to keep it it tip top condition
 
Yes I use a CTEK unit although the caravan itself has a three stage charger. The CTEK is a small one but supplies more than enough charge to keep the battery in good condition.
 
No , put it back in and get out in the caravan again, whilst sites are cheaper, just have a safe time 😛
