BBC 2 Wednesday 8pm

The Caravan Club Caravanner of the year competition is on BBC 2 at 8pm on Wednesday.
Part 2 is the week after
Will we get the usual micky taking or a serious programme ?

OH has just read me a write up in a mag which states;
OK the title isn't inspiring, bit don't let it put you off this hilarious show .

Now the question is who is going to find it hilarious? Us caravanners or Joe public?

Bound to be designed to mock us. Either that or they will pick complete planks to air to the general public. There wont be a normal carravaner in sight.

Time to pick a pub for Wed evening.

Im thinking more on the lines of a knitted cadac cover with matching warmers for the aquaroll. His and hers 1970s purple/green shell suit and bright yellow crocs. Oh yeah, and a flag.

I would not enter as they will be looking to make a fool of someone. Looking at the details one of first contests is the fastest awning erection time. As we only ever put up an old porch awning and that not always we would be down from the start.
Have made a note though and will see what happens.

As has been said earlier in the thread there is bound to be a certain amount of poking fun at caravanners and I would think that in order to make the program more entertaining the folk featured may well be more eccentric than your average family of four with a medium sized yet well behaved dog.
