Thanks for sticking up for me, I obviously have struck a nerve with Big R. Wouldn't it be funny if the CL I was on at the weekend also had Big R on it and was also the person who said what well behaved boys I have! LOL

Big R some advice for ya matey............. stay away from private sites that are full of chavs, heres a clue .......see any kids with a hoodie, sports gear and baseball cap turn around and head for the nearest CC site. I have never ever seen any children misbehaving on a CC site, I never use anything else because I like my peace and quiet just as anyone else. In fact I would say that adults are more the cause of noise and disruption than children.................... Anyone on here not had a nights sleep broken because a group of adults have got tanked up and made a load of noise? The tools who tried to ruin my nights sleep on Merrose farm CC site this august soon realised I like a quiet site just as anyone else! If getting plastered and making loads of noise to the early hours is what an adult site is like then the simple folk are welcome to em!

You're going to strike a nerve with a lot of people Kanga.

I've just returned from a long weekend on an adults only site and it was paradise.

What's more it was fully booked for the entire weekend.

Adele Donohue did a fabulous editorial on this very subject in Practical Caravan a few issues back and I thought that it may have silenced the dinosaurs who held similar opinions to yours. But no, you're still out there, as bigoted as ever.

It seems to me that the only people who come out against these sites are the ones who aren't qualified to use them.

May I respectfully suggest that it is your viewpoint that is antiquated..........and remember "Adults Only" isn't the exclusive preserve of the caravanning and camping fraternity. It extends to Thomson Holidays with their "Gold" programme, to Warners with their "Adult Only" holiday centres, myriad hotels up and down the country but you don't hear any vitriol being aimed at these concepts. They're hugely popular.

It's you that's out of step Kanga.

HeHeHeh! Can I be your Manager Big R. Oh and by the way you so and so's, Ol' Lord B is back, just had 8 days in Beddgelert and it was pure bliss - no screaming unsupervised kids. I'm not anti-kid as Ive brought up 3 of my own but now is the time I want peace in my life and nobody, not even Kanga has the right to tell me or anyone else for that matter where we should pitch our vans. Not ALL kids are the same and neither are the parents unfortunately, my dogs have better manners than some. If they want to share their little cherubs with all others on site while they have a BBQ and get tanked up (doesnt only happen on adult sites Kanga)so be it but don't expect everyone to put up with it. Thankfully we live in a democracy with freedom of choice and if my choice is an adult site so be it and tough on minority of moaners and whingers who don't like it and think we should ALL suffer the antics of their uncontrollable children. For the record I've only used one Adult Site but at least the choice is there.

I just hope that the programme highlights the fact that adult only sites are an antiquated idea and as politically incorrect as having a "whites only" site. The EC should outlaw these sites pronto.

If people who don't have children want to get away from them, why not either go on a CL or just holiday when the kids are in school ............. simple really, bit like those who think adult sites are the bees knees

my kids have left home ,so i dont want an extended family besides with all the holidays kids have it dont leave much time left does it

and whats wrong with peace and quiet people with kids get it,because their kids dont play around their caravan,do they!

had a caseball hit my van on Ladys Mile Farm site in Dawlish Warren went out and it was the dad showing his son how to shoot at goal said why dont you wreck your own van you ....... .... and he took the ball over to a field there are morons everywhere he had a nice van you would think hed know how i felt
