Hi Rob-T,
You will know that I have responded elsewhere, but for the sake of other Francophiles on this forum:-
We stayed at this site for two nights towards the end of May this year on our way back from Andalucia to Calais. It is a very pleasant site, well kept and well run by British owners. It is delightfully situated between the walls of Navarrenx and the river. Navarrenx is one of the 'Bastide' towns, originally a northern outpost of Navarre, and well worth exploring. Access to the site is fine, although you need to follow carefully the direction signs around the town. There is a mix of grass and hardstanding pitches in terraces - the hardstandings have full service facilities. When we stayed, there were quite a few long-term Brits in residence.
Do take up a recommendation from the campsite owners for a meal at the 'Auberge du Bois', just outside the town - 5 course meal plus wine for 10 euros each! (you don't have any choice, but it was all good!)
Campsite, town, area and restaurant all fully recommended.
Cheers
