Bed Slats

When I come to put my bed away, the slats don't slide freely back into their box under the drawers.

The material "bunches up" so I need to lift the drawers and shove the slats back manually one by one.

The slats aren't catching on the sides or anything, it just seems as the the weight of the slats isn't enough to tension the material so that they fall down properly.

Any suggestions?

Spray the ledge under the slats with silicone polish such as Mr Sheen Shine and kneel down and use 2 hands--one at each side to get an even straight push
