Yes I brought the caravan couldn’t get hold off the people after I gave them the 22,500 that paid for the caravan and a years ground rent haven new it had to be signed over and was taking long the people who owed the caravan offered them the caravan at first and they didn’t want to pay the money for it so they said I can buy it so I did and now they have brought it bk off them for 11 grand my caravan was 2022 new
I have the receipt with the old owners handwriting on it so that’s proof that she’s ripped the receipt out to me. If you go to a professional handwriting person they will tell that her hand. I’ve got her name address all the details and all the information will come with the Caravan so I’ve got things there and I’m just finding out now if my car van has been moved I think they’ve moved it from my pitch but it’s still going on a caravan site just in a different location. It sounds dodgy from both sides here I think what do you think?

I very much doubt that as things stand Haven would agree to you moving the caravan from their site. Have you contacted a solicitor or your insurance legal helpline? Don’t forget that Which provide 12 months legal help services for a fee of around £100
Have you reported the issue to the police yet?

And here’s the infamous best advice when buying anything.

Ensure beyond all doubt the Seller has Legal Title to the Property being sold and there is no Co ownership, no outstanding bank loans or other Liens or any other disputes to Sole good Legal Title.
Yeh there is no loans etc on it it’s been all paid up checked all that over check everything was just waiting for the lady to come in to haven office and sign over the last bit off the paper work just so that the owners card can be changed to my name and signed over with the caravan people as I already got I receipt and the logbook and the paperwork for the Caravan I’ve already got that so I just needed to sign over take her off the sign it in my name and also found out today that she’s split up from her fella and didn’t have any money but remembered the caravan is still in her name so sold it behind my back and his too as I had a call off him today saying he will give me my doe back when he gets back from china in June thou thats not good enough

Try Which Legal Services. The initial discussion is free, but if you took the case forward you subscribe. But Which do not represent you as a solicitor would, but they can help in drafting letters and provide guidance on the best way ahead. Do you have an insurance that provides legal services? Or member of Trades Union?
Which are currently giving a reduced subscription fee.

Where are the documents you signed with haven for electicity, ground rent etc? Post up which haven sight and which number caravan so we can help? You have to go into the Haven site office to set up your account for electric, site rent etc so at that point they would know you were the new owner. The very fact that you can't be on a haven site using their facilities without them knowing shows you are making up this story. This is not April 1 my friend!

Evidence, paperwork, site details so we can check, caravan number, etc all missing? FAKE POST

I must admit, I don't think I would waste my time asking a touring Practical caravan forum about what to do over £22.5k . Police and Haven would be involved.

This has been a difficult thread to follow, so it's not clear exactly what has happened. But essentially I the OP believes, he has lost money, then he should be contacting the police.

Unfortunately many of these large caravan sites have their own rules regarding owning caravans on their sites, and in some cases, private owners are not allowed to sell their caravans except to the site themselves.

If this is the case, the owner cannot sell privately.

The OP must seek professional legal advice. And lodge the matter with the police.

I seriously doubt the matter will be resolved by this forum.

He’s actually contacted the police re #31 and been advised to seek legal advice from the outset.

Exactly, Fake Post!
If he has why no confirmatiom? Details of Haven site, caravan number etc so a check can be made? Anyone can cry... wolf!
The forum in theory at least is open for any one to ask a question. Not everyone has a full command of the English language, or necessarily a full understanding of phones or computers, or of consumer law, which is why from time to time we do get difficult questions which can be misconstrued, or difficult to understand.

Based on what has been written, this guy is at his witts end, apparently having lost a lot of money. We have no way of knowing all the details, but its so bizzare it might be true.

Unless you have additional knowledge of this instance, I cannot see how you can judge this matter with enough confidence to accuse him of fakery.

In just the same way that I do not know you, you do not know me, so youe absolutely no knowledge of what I do or don't know about any topic or subject. So please do not start passing personally aimed slurs about people. Stick to evidenced based facts.

Edit earlier you were asking the OP to disclose rather specific information about names and other documents which would likely transgress this forums etiquette concerning naming and shaming. Please read and understand the forums requirements.

There is no evidence and there is a lot that does not ring true.

I asked for evidence that this thread is in fact not fake. The Haven site would have set up payment recoeds with the OP. You seem to want to ignore the facts that this is all missing here. You need to stop having a go at me directly and ask why there is no evidence of how the OP could be on a Haven site undetected for a year. Explain that!

Maybe you should PM the OP as you seem fairly clued up.
I’m more interested in Touring Caravan issues .

There are a lot of other places that may be able to help the OP most of them already suggested on here.
We still don’t know enough details and with the sum involved the OP really should be pressing the Police for help

You should have seen the warnings before about your earlier posts. If your confrontational attitude continues you may be suspended or banned from this forum.

Some people (not many that I know of) like to comment in a way that puts others down, I had two such comments from ProfJohnL on two posts and reacted to them because ProfJohnL seemed to be making a point of discrediting what I had said. I don't like confrontation but think it is fair to defend ones position in relation to the comments people make about you personally.

Defending one’s position doesn’t need to involve personal slurs.

There needs to be fairness both ways in the comments.
I’ve re read the Prof’s two posts and find them fairly and factually stated.

Nothing adversarial.
Correctly reminding you and the rest of us there are certain Forum rules and protocols we follow.

Sometimes people from different parts of the country use different dialects and syntax which to some may sound unfriendly yet in truth are all very friendly and honest😎

Fairness and measured debate is absolutely fine. Calling people names and making personal attacks is not permitted on this forum. If you disagree with someone else’s assessment then stick to the facts of the discussion. Enough warnings have been given.
