Can anyone reccomend a site at Berlin for a car and caravan with awning. We are planning to visit there at the end of May for about 4 nights. Many thanks

We have stayed a couple of times at the campsite in Mahlow, just outside and to the south of Berlin. There's a train connection into the city every 20 minutes from Mahlow itself. It's also relatively easy to get to by road from the A10 and A96 autobahns. We found it quite nice there.
We stayed at Campingplatz Gatow in 2013 and it still gets a good write up in the 2024 Caravan Club handbook. Very easy to find and bus stop at the gates for Berlin or bus to S-Bahn for train to Berlin. Next to a wood which is useful for walking the dog. Very nice site and flat. The only trouble was there is little shade and it was in the mid 30's when we stayed there.
Thank you all for your replies. We have a good selection of water connections, just need to check the EHU and gas situation.

Water won't be an issue and in most cases EHU won't either. Just take as much gas with you as you will need, as once you are on the other side of the Channel the connections aren't compatible. You could use adapters, but that would still leave you with having to buy a foreign gas bottle that you would have to dispose of in the country where you bought it when you leave.
