Hi Mairi

We've got friends who regularly go to Seaview CC site in Berwick and they say it's within walking distance of Berwick itself. We've visited them once whilst on site but never actually got into Berwick - ended up taking the kids to the beach instead.

It looks a nice site and me, hubby and the kids are going next weekend for five nights on what will be our second trip with our new van.

Hope this helps.

We stayed on the Seaview site at Spittle. It is a really nice site but watch out if the winds come off the North Sea and you've an awning. The walk into Berwick upon Tweed is about a mile and a half if you walk down and through Spittle. There's also a cliff walk in the opposite direction which is great, lovely views. You are also handy for a shopping area nearby and within easy walking distance. Also if you go down the A5 for a couple of miles there's a good outdoor shop that sells the really good heavy duty awning pegs if you need any.

All in all a really good area to visit and we'll definitely go back again.

Tomo.

Agree that Seaview is a nice site but some of the pitches towards the back of the site get some noise from the trains on the east coast mainline.

Ord House is also a nice site which is one of the best of British sites. Its also within walking distance of Berwick.

Hi

Just left a reply on the Seaview thread.

We stayed at the Seaview for 6 nights at Easter 2 weeks ago.

The weather was a challenge to say the least. Very windy for a few days & nights. Almost everyone took down their awnings, those that didn't suffered the loss ! The Northumberland coastal path is about 20 mins walk from the site, Berwick is maybe a little further, both well worth exploring.

The site is terraced so great seaviews from every pitch as far as I could tell.

No dedicated Dog walk, not really a problem as the site is large enough to stretch the legs. Shower block warm & clean.

Really enjoyed the holiday & would return again to Seaview

Hello Mairie

Whilst at Ord House have a nosy at South Meadows Caravan Park. It is worth putting on your list for future reference.

Situated a mile off the A1 (not noisy) 15 miles south of Berwick - 15 miles north of Alnwick - aproximately 6 miles inland from Bamborough.
