Looks like an MPTLM of 1715 kg. Hence a tow car with a kerb weight of about 2036 kg to get an 85% match.

It depends on how often you want to get away and how far you will travel, some folk have a dedicated heavy tow car , say a Pajero and a smaller car for running around in, I decided the other way around and have a Santa Fe, as the tow car and the run around , but with a van that heavy, I would prefer a heavier tow car, as I like towing with an Auto, the Auto Santa Fe is limited to 2000 kg.
Maybe an old Range Rover or a large Kia, or a heavy Merc.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.
If there are any 2016 Bessacarr Cameo 565 owners out there, or if you tow a similar weight van like that, please let me know what you tow yours with.

At that weight you are in Range Rover and the like territory and it should have a kerb weight of over 2,000kg to control the caravan. Twin axles do tow better than single provided everything else is equal, but if tight manouvering is needed a mover is best. There is a fair choice of cars though so god hunting.

You could also look at one of the many king cab or double cab pick-up trucks (Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi L200, Toyota Hilux, Ford Ranger etc).

With the advice that we are in Range Rover territory to get the kerbweight we need, but no way being able to buy one new, we decided to go have a look at some used ones.
We have been lucky enough to find a 2013 one, in excellent condition, with Full Service History and at a figure we could just afford and decided to get it and we pick it up next week.

Thank you for your advice and replies.
