Hi All. I am off into Wales from Chester area foe 4 weeks. We are stuooibg Off at Aberaeron for a few days then St Davids, LLanelli, Newport, Cheltenham and Great Malvern.

I tow a 5.4m Chaisma and wondered what the best route was between Aberaeron and St Davids. I seem to remember that there were some problems at Haverfordwest.

Any advice gratefully received.

Hi Alan

We took our van to St Davids at Easter from Bristol. At the roundabout before Haverfordwest take the A40 north towards Fishguard until you reach Letterston and turn left on B4331 towards Mathry. On reaching the A487 turn left and follow the signs to St Davids. On reaching the junction just before St. Davids with the rugby club on your right, turn right and then first left on B4583. The road gets a little narrow and there is a small bridge / dogleg but not a problem. Ignore the caravan sign on the first right turn and continue along until you reach the junction with the golf club on your left and a house on your right. Turn right here (as though you were going to double back on yourself) and the entrance to the Caravan Club site is just down on your left. There is another site next door. Hope this helps. This avoids the problems at Newgale and Solva.

Alan
