For the record, when a multiplier or divider letter is used, if it is a multiplier it is in upper case, but a divider is in lower case. Ergo mA for milliamps or MW for Megawatt.

It has been the fashion in engineering for decades now but it seems to be slipping into general use and that is to use the multiplier letter to replace a decimal point. So a 4.7K ohm resistor (i.e. 4700) is written as 4K7R (R is used in preference to the omega symbol normally used for ohms) and 6.3 milliamps is written as 6m3A. Go to France and you will find 07:30hrs written as 7h30 very commonly.
