Reported in two tabloid Scottish newspapers today is the story of the caravanner who ended up in court this week following an incident on a campsite near Aberfoyle last July.
Apparently a group of tent campers after a visit to a local pub started a sing song at 1.30am. The caravanner "grabbed a foot long butcher's machete and stormed their tent" threatening to use the weapon if they woke his 9 year old son. One of the campers tried to apologise but was promptly chased off for his efforts.
The caravanner was sentenced to 200 hours community service and 15 months probation.
So next time you are having a drink or chat with friends late at night just think for a moment... could this guy with his machete be in the next pitch!!!
