bike carrier

Hi

I want to get a bike carrier that goes on the A frame, i've seen one from Fiamma available from Towsure. Has anyone used/got one of these, and how safe and secure are the bikes.

It very much depends upon which caravan you have.

If it is a Continental one with an extended "A" frame they are fine.

If your caravan is a UK built one, then check that the "A" frame is long enough to accommodate the carrier and that you can afford an additional 35-50kg weight on the front.

Hi Dawn I have a Caravan XL A bike carrier ive had it for 4 yrs no problem as yet fitted it myself, but like rod says it depends on your A frame,I have a burstner with an extended A frame. I would definately recomend the carrier it adjusts so you can get in the gas locker even with the bikes fitted.

Yes it does, but on most Continental caravans the problem is getting the noseweight heavy enough due to the extended "A" frame.
