Bike rack

Hi guys, anyone know if it's possible to fit a bike rack at the rear of caravan, I'm fed up of feeding my bike through narrow door, I catch my leg or some part of van every time, I know you can get them for your car roof or towbar but just wondered if it's possible at the rear, my last motorhome had one but not sure if it would stress a caravans rear panel, if so where from.

Hello Smurf,
Some caravans are prepared with additinal strengthening ready for rear mounted racks. You would need to check with your caravan's manufacturer if yours can accept a rack or not.
There are some caravanners that hold the traditional view that adding the weight of a rack and bikes will cause a caravan to become unstable. Well the best advice is to avoid 'end' loading but its not black and white, and its a question of being sensible about loading.
You will need to monitor your caravans nose weight more carefully.

As the Prof says only the manufacturer will know if the rear wall of the van has been reinforced to allow the fitting of a bike rack, unless you have the original handbook with the information in ?
