Bike rack

Hi, anyone know where I can get a cheap bike rack which fits onto towbar and still be able to tow and are they easy to fit, was going for the bars on offer at lidl this week at £25 but they won't clamp onto my galaxy rails

Hi Smurff
What ever weight that you attach to your towbar with a bike & rack combination, that weight will have to be taken off the nose weight of your caravan to to compensate for the max allowed weight on the tow bar or the tow bar will be overloaded.

Could you not use one that fastens to the rear door ??

Hi Smurff, the comments about watching your hitch weight above are correct, but taking those into account I still decided that the hitch mount was right for me - I got one off eBay in the end, I was in no hurry so I was able to let a few go when they reached a higher price than I was prepared to pay, and finally got one for about twenty quid.
Be aware that some designs make your trailer electrical sockets difficult to access if they're in the normal place - I'm going to fit the bike rack mounting bracket, and convert to 13 pin, at the same time, and I plan to mount the electrical socket above the mounting bracket, but think about that now before you decide which bike rack to buy.

Please be aware that if you use the car with bike rack but without the trailer that ther cars numberplate and lights must not be obstructed in any way. You may need to get a 'trailer lights/number plate board to fit to the bike rack.
