BIRDVIEW Sat Nav..

What exactly is a birdview sat nav system,it hasnt got the normal system.it is on a 54 plate and the car has done 35000 genuine miles, would this put one off buying the car these days or is the sat nav a must, thanks

Hi, I've seen bird's eye views and it is the ability to, for example, see all sides of a building as you move across or round the image as if you were actually moving across the sky.
Not sure if this is the same thing on this sat nav.
My concern is the sat nav in the vehicle could be 7 years out of date and because it is a manufactures system could be expensive to keep updated.

Are you referring to the nissan sat nav?
If so you have viewing options, i never use the bird view.
Yes the satnav will be dated, even the 2009 xtrail, but the position indicator will always point you in the correct direction, even if it shows you in a field, eventually you get back to the highlighted route, just requires common sense, and the large display is always better the the small aftermarket offerings.
I can really recommend the latest version, but still no post codes is a large negative, i use my smart phone nokia for that if required.
