Hi new member here ,I bought a brand new caravan through black horse do you need a tracker fitted as part of there terms and conditions? I can’t find anything on the subject thanks Tony

It’s normally an insurer that specifies if a tracker is required plus other security aids such as hitchlock and wheel lock.

I think it would be sensible to verify your concern with the company, as they are the ones with an interest in your purchase, but as otherclive has stated your insurer may also have particular requirements.

Black Horse have never requested that a tracker is fitted as it is no business of theirs. As said an insurance company can request that a tracker is fitted.

Black Horse provide the finance, it is of no concern to them if the caravan gets stolen as you will still be liable for the amount of finance outstanding.
Your insurance company will have terms and conditions for the cover they provide and it is essential that you comply with them 100% in regards to what security measures they require.
Many do stipulate that an approved (by them) tracker is fitted to caravans above a certain new cost. If in doubt, check!
