hi all, dont know if anyone can help, but our caravan is an avondale rialto. its a 2002 model and we have owned it since it was about 20 mths old. it came from a dealer, the same one we have bought our last 3 vans. on handover to us there was no mention of an alam, no key fobs, etc. there is a sticker on the window saying it is fitted with one. anyway we have never tried to find an alam, but on our last outing, a drive of about 60 miles, every 30 seconds or so this loud bleep came from the van. when car was switched off, so the bleeping stopped. when car was running again so did the bleeping. we sited the van and unplugged the cables and that was the last we heard it. the drive home it didnt bleep. any ideas?. thanks in advance ray.

I better say sorry now as this is not going to help much.
I was driving my car back home with my wife next to me and the car behind tooted his horn beep, beep.
Looked in my mirror and could not work out why he did that, two minuets later beep, beep, looked again in the mirror and behind me was a differant car.
Well I pulled in to the next layby and walked round the back the side looked under the car but could not see anything wrong.
Got back in and continued on to the motorway, about 2 miles down the road and beep, beep.
This continued untill I got off the motorway, driving now down a small lane and beep, beep, looked in my mirror and there was no one there, not a sole.
Stopped out side my house and my wife and I was trying to work out what it was and beep, beep.
Now this is true.
My phone needed charging....

OH hitched up van to bring back from servicing. Thinks he hears a noise, and sees a police car behind, assumes its the siren so pulls over to let it past. Police car does but noise continues. He carries on and later pulls over again. It was the caravan alarm which had been set off by the movement of the van while towing.
