Help my sink in my caravan is blocked! On the last day of my holiday I discovered that my sink was blocked, we managed to get most of the water out and what was left drained away slowly. We since tried to unblock it with suction but nothing happens. Can anyone help, can I use the normal sink and drain unblockers that you can buy for kitchen sinks at home?

Disconnect the hose from the sink, undo the brackets supporting the hose (under the caravan) pull the hose out and flush out with your garden hose

That is not as easy done as said. One thing is that I have no access to under the sink as the fridge is underneath it. Secondly my caravan is in storage and there is not a tap nearby to attach a hose to so it can be flushed out. Thanks for the tip, any other ideas.

Put some plasticone over the waste pipe exit point, then pour neat vinegar down plughole, voila in a couple of hours no more blocked sink. No need for a tap etc, just take a bottle of water to rinse away residue.

Michelle Sarah, sorry tree pollen affecting eyes, brain and typing fingers. I meant to type plasticine, playdoh, putty etc in fact anything which will block the exit pipe, and can easily be removed

Thanks will go to where I store Vera (the Ventana - Burstner) give it a go and will let you know how we get on. Sounds like a good idea to me. My husband and I don't like to get to technical with the van, any major pulling pipes etc, we normally take it to the dealer to do. But this sounds like we could give it a go, simple enough for us. Thanks again

Michelle
