Hi All, I have got to buy a blow up bed for one of the grandkids to use in awning annexe, I've tried various types over the years and to be honest not found one yet that I have found much good, they all seems to leak, this isn't a major problem as just add more air every few days but the main problem is stability, it always seems to be that you bounce about, I'm sure you will know what I mean, wake up feeling sea sick, I want to make sure I get one that is stable cos granddaughters first time in the annexe on her own so I could end up sleeping on it if she doesn't like being out there, any help or advice appreciated.

Try one of the self-inflating ones. They're much thinner than the blow up type, but more comfortable, as you don't get that 'wallowing about' feeling, or the depression where your bottom touches the cold floor in the middle of the night. They're available from most camping shops, and surprisingly easy to use (including deflating them and packing them away afterwards).

Going back 30 years I used to have a fold up bed in the awning and that was much nicer than an inflatable one. Many lightweight ones out there and you have the added benefit of being off the ground.

Coleman Double Comfort air beds are good, and if pumped up properly, ( 12v air pump ), you don't get that wallowing feeling.

Jim.
