blown air heating

hi just wonder if any one can help,heating is making all the right noises but blowing cold air. one second hot the next it was cold. hope to hear from someone soon

cheers pip

It would help to say who's make of blown air heating you have? or if you don't know that, perhaps just the year of the van will do

It would be a 99 which gives two possible Fanmaster's?! the mk1 which will probably be on the back of a Carver 3600 fire and use a wall mounted control switch, or, the mk2 4000/5500 which uses a slide switch control on the top shelf of the gas fire itself.

With the mk1, the likely problem is it's overheated and tripped out, have a look here for where to press to reset it;

If it's the mk2 then the first thing I would suspect is the mains 'kettle plug' has come loose, this plugs sideways into the bottom of the control box, you will find this over the back of the fire, top right behind the gas control knob, make sure it's fully pushed in

If it helps, the position of this kettle plug is the same as for the reset for the mk1 but on the opposite side of the fire

If not the plug then the slide switch control causes most other problems
