Hi, You both obviously do not like to carry weighty bottles around with you and so prefer sachets. But have you tried Kemdirect granular sachets which you can use top and bottom or only half a sachet at a time if no flush tank?

These are even more environmentally friendly as they contain no dye or smell and when used correctly there should be no chemical smell or odour from the toilet and just liquid when poured away.

If you visit www.kemdirect.nl you can read all about them and their inventor Hans, who is now on his own but used to be a biochemist for Thetford. All his products are more environmentally friendly and this was one of the reasons he went out on his own.

They too are also good value for money and very light to transport around.

Hello Joyce, nice plug there !

The reason I use sachets are because they are a measured amount which is handy but they are easy to store. Spill any from a bottle and you have a problem.

I have tried "green" chemical but found it didn't work very well.

Hi Rioja

Kemdirect is a granular product not liquid so if spilt then you only need to sweep it up it does not stain like liquid.

It is environmentally friendly but it works better than green liquids in fact better than most blue ones.

Also each sachet is a dose but it still works if you use half a sachet and that makes it very economical.

Joyce,

What a pity you weren't at the Glasgow show.....so many of the manufacturers turn up at Birmingham, but turn their backs on the rest of the shows.

Hi Maureen

We were at the Glasgow show last year but unfortunately it is the only show that we did not cover our costs for going because we found that the show goers were reluctant to spend any money.

We were not the only exhibitors to find this and so this year even though we have some very good friends who are part of the Scottish Caravan Clubs and we would have loved to have seen them again, we declined to attend.

We like Scotland but we could not justify coming up this year and so we are just attending the NEC this year.

Why not just say the Scots are tight wads then?....lol

Joyce,

We were told that Glasgow is the most expensive show in Britain for the exhibitors.I find that very odd.Yesterday was a bonus.....there were 3 Bailey reps there.Normally we never see any at all.Went to the B'ham show a few years ago and loved it as there was so much going on.A pity that the big shows don't rotate round the country on an annual basis.

Hi Maureen

All the shows where you have to have a shell system indoors are very, very expensive even the NEC. But we go for 12 days and take the caravan and go to a caravan club site and so try to keep the costs down.

It will be the first time out this year with the caravan and I am really looking forward to it. We usually have all kinds of weather and it usually snows whist we are there but maybe we have had the snow for this year.

If you decide to come to the NEC then come and say hello, it would be good to say we had a Lord and Lady visiting the stand !

As far as rotating the shows they seem to be bringing others to the NEC instead.
