Bmw 320d Touring

Has anyone had experience towing with this car.Had a test drive without van attached,we where very impressed, but is it a capable towcar? Also need to know if someone has had a detachable towbar fitted what type and what they think of it.

Thanks Rob.

Hi Robert,

I tow a Bailey Pageant Imperial with this car and find it a fine, capable and more importantly, extremely economical vehicle to tow with. I average 34mpg, I'm never short of power, and find it very comfortable on long journeys. I have the BMW factory fitted detachable tow bar which is a very impressive piece of engineering.

Robert,

I had a 2000 320dSE for 3 years. I towed a Challenger 520SE during this time - solo the car did 50+mpg, towing at 60mph around 27. It always had plenty of power, pulled up hills well and was rock steady. Only area I was a little disappointed with was the boot and rear seat space.
