We spent an overnight stay at this site and would just like to pass on that that it is very good, especially if you have dogs. Good size pitches, lots of choice (well it was towards the end of September) and loads of walks laid out round the fields and down to the river. Lots of dog poo bins and even bags to pick up with. Very thoughtful. Some traffic noise as the site is on higher ground so all the road noises seemed magnified, but it could have been due to wind direction. Does anyone know why the Caravan Club have dropped it?

We then moved onto to the CC site at Sandringham for two and half weeks. Full every weekend and threequarters full during the week even in October, so do book if you plan to go there. Very nice site with loads of walks from the site in the woods and up to Sandringham House. We went to North Norfolk mainly for the walking (nice to be on the flat as we live in a hilly area) and the bird watching. Spectacular scenes especiallly at the RSPB reserve at Titchwell. Recommend North Norfolk as a holiday destination.

Like you we are wondering why the CC has dropped Bo Peep Farm. Guess we will never know. However, it is a lovely site, yes a bit noisy from traffic but after a couple of nights or so it lulls you to sleep. It is one of the best sites we have attended with regard to the provision of dogs. Doggy bags on every gatepost (guess you pay for this as it is a bit costly to stay there) and plenty of doggy bins.

Sandringham is a wonderful site. We have been several times, but not in recent years. Guess it will have changed since our last visit. However, wonderful for walking the dog and sight seeing. Can you still walk out of the site and across the road into the Forestry Commission area?

Glad you had such a good time.

Hi Ann,

Bo-Peep caravan site was a site managed by the caravan club for the owners of the site and so just guessing that the owners saw what they were loseing out and took it back, yes it is a lovely site.Jim

Hi Ann

I don't think you can access the FC area. Do you mean directly opposite the site entrance? There was a notice at the site gate to say 'do not enter the woods opposite as these are private' or similar, The woods had Private notices at various points

Hi MikeandGill

From memory (a little rusty!) I recall that when we visited the Sandringham site we walked out of the main entrance (with our large GS), walked directly across the road and entered a lovely area of footpaths. No doubt by now the small saplings will be largish trees so I guess, like most things, it may have changed.

Ann
