If you going to stay long term there is a local firm which rents them small ones wont work

because some of the pitches have metal frames above which they attach sunshades to picking the right pitch is not easy

We stayed for five weeks last year and gave up with our system

and used the book club on site which was free

or you can listen to the sound of others with there sat finders

i know this hasn't answered your question but you need a very large dish on this site

As long as you have a clear view of the the sky metal frames will make no difference unlike terrestrial TV - you might require a bigger dish and will need to aim higher in the sky than when in UK.

You may lose some of the weaker channels because the satellites on 28E are mainly biased towards the UK.

Thanks for that. Renting sounds a really good option. Can you tell us if they rent the whole system (dish, box, cable etc.) or just the dish? We don't currently have satellite at home so we will buy whatever they don't rent-out before we go. Do you by any chance remember the name of the firm, so that we could, perhaps contact them before we go. Thanks again,

Stephen.
