So after about 6 years 90% of the LEDs have finally failed and I see that the 'sealed' unit is full of water / condensation which seems to be an issue with all of these lights, so its time to replace the unit for about £70.
Its a pretty straightforward repalcement job as they appear to fix to the wall of the caravan using double sided tape. I've looked at the existing unit to be repaced and its stuck rock solid to the van and will not budge. Even when I try to ease it feels as if its fixed with screws - which it isnt.
I dont want to apply heat to soften the tape or use a stanley knife to ease it off and risk damaging the outside wall of the van (as a member on here has already done), so I'm wondering how might be the best way to get the old unit off without making a real mess and wishing I'd never bothered!
Has anyone changed their unit as they all fill with water and fail and are a very very common light.
