Hi all,

After reading about a couple of people having problems booking on line, I thought I would try and make my 1st ever booking on line with CC. I got on 1st time and booked my Easter hols with no problem what so ever. Perfect.

I'm still pretty sure that Wayne was just on the wind up, or a journalist stirring things up or even just a troll having some fun. ( maybe even a C & CC official looking for defections )

We haven't heard from him, since he posted 3 new threads and on another 2 complaining about the booking system problems.

I can't believe that someone could get so wound up in such a short space of time.

I'll put my hand up and say that I even tried to see if his name Wayne Seaborn was an anagram of something.

Probably gone away to sulk with a flea in his ear, as should the other whingers. I wasn't going to book anything until the N. Year but to test the system I have booked a weekend that I know for sure we will need to make a birthday party. No problems, straight in !

He is probably like me and wondering why he should have to book a camp site for Easter in December, it's hardly the spontanious break that caravanning used to be about.

The sites that are open for feb half term have been bookable for some time so it is not surprising that some of the more popular ones such as rowntree park are fully booked.

I find it difficult to believe that most sites are full for Easter perhaps again the more popular sites.

Just waited until 6pm today then got straight on via Fast-track.

Got the bookings we wanted, though I did have a look at some of the more popular ones (Rowntree, Clumber, Knaresborough, Strid Wood) and these are already full at BH's.

Hi

Tried to book during the day, couldn't get through. Logged on at 8pm and although busy managed to book the sites we wanted with 1 exception, Burford was fully booked at Easter.

I tried to book Rowntree site for next December on 19/12/08., I was told that it is a good site to go to near xmas, so, not being able to get booked for this xmas, thought I would try for next year. Not a good idea, it is fully booked for every weekend in December already. The nearest date to xmas that I could book is weekend of 21/22 November 2009. We usually book a couple of months before we want to go, this is getting to be very hard as the sites we want are full. so is the solution to get on the band wagon and prebook now for the whole year.
