Has anybody had experiance with BP Lite Gas. I considered purchasing a bottle today but was asked what bulkhead regulator was fitted to my van.The person I spoke to said the Truma one fitted to the van would not work and I would have to change it for a BP one which works with both Calor and BP which is strange as I thought the gas was a BP and Truma cooperative. I was also informed that the level of gas was not clearly visable which was my incentive to purchase BP gas.

Hi Dennis

Whilst not completely transparent you can see the level of gas but it is not like looking into a glass bottle.

Don't know if your van is that old due to the fact that it has a bulkhead regulator so I would imagine that it is the same as mine and all I had to do was change the pig tail.

Denis, the person telling you the bulkhead regulator would not work is wrong.

You may have to change the pigtail, but the Truma regulator will work on any make of LPG as long as you have the correct pigtail to fit the cylinder.

The level of gas is not crystal clear as the cylinders are made of composite material, but it can be seen.

Good news, Homebase now stock the 5Kg bottle, as well as the 10Kg. As most of their stores are open until 8.00pm (and on Sundays) it makes availability in the UK extremely good. However, they seem to be a bit slow in rolling out stockists in France. Shame.
