I have just acquired a 1999 Compass caravan, and I wanted to jack it up to check the tyres, but the jacking points are not to be found in any of the handbooks. Can somebody please tell me the recommended jacking point on a BPW Chassis, Please?
 
You have two options unless you have the dedicated side lift jacking brackets fitted (which you do not)

Either directly under the axle tube just behind the brake backplate, or under the reinforced web where the axle bolts to the chassis.

Do NOT jack anywhere else, it will twist the chasis rail
 
Hi Damian,

Thanks for the info. Gobsmacked that the BPW booklet with the caravan did not have this anywhere,and the section in the Compass booklet is just a word for word copy of the BPW booklet.
